So, I've got a 5 year old PC that I'm looking to toss downstairs in the metal rubbish bin.
Anything I should do before I do that?
*hammer available. |

Does it still work, is it a P4 and more than 1Ghz processor speed? The only thing I ask is do you have the CDs for it (motherboard and video card). I will pick it up and take it off your hands. I donate them to rural schools in the Philippines.
Otherwise, set it outside and the recyclers will take it off your hands.

Ah, for some reason I think it is a P3.
I'm going to start it up one last time to sweep any remaining personal files off of it, but honestly, I don't think you'd want it.
Yes, it still works (RAM has been upgraded over the years), but it has none of the original disks for it.
Basically, it's old and while functioning.. was getting to th point that I was worrying if it would just not start some day. |

don't just delete the files, but do multiple formats otherwise the files will be easily recoverable - I know as I've recovered tons of stuff off of computers I rescued from the trash. |
