Hi.
Just got offered a public elementary position. I've been teaching in Hogwans with small classes...
I guess with public school it's more like 30-40 in a class.
How is public school different than private?
Like... what will I be expected to do? |

i've got a couple friends at public elementary schools and one said that the lessons are all planned out for her in the book she was given. they both say that their korean co-teachers lead the classes and they take on more of an ALT role, which is different from many middle and high schools where the korean co-teacher is basically just assisting |

My experience is totally different than the previous posters. I have to make all my own lesson plans as the national curriculum is a joke. Also my co-teacher takes more of minor role as her English isn't so good. It really depends on what school you get put in. Every school is different with it's own dynamic. Who did you get hired through? Do you know exactly what grades you will be teaching? |
