If you think all the dog meat at the boshintang restaurants is dog, you probably believe all the other myths about it too.

It's simply part of the meat industry really. Pigs, cows and chickens are mistreated as well. Granted, they aren't intentionally tortured but many are still mistreated. It doesn't stop me from eating them. I won't eat cat though... I miss my kitty Crying or Very sad

This video still got me F'ed up today.

The dog that was hung

The dog that was thrown in the boiling water (this has to be the worst one to endure).

The dog they dragged at the end with no energy.

the box full of dogs just stuffed in there.

Sad

And inflict the same pain and torture to humans that you condemn against dogs. Sparkling indeed.

Dam right!!!!

Those who kill dogs in that manner don't deserve the term "human". I have more sympathy for the dogs, than the ones who brutally torture them.

And those guys who frequent those Dog restaurants know full well how those dogs are killed. The more painfull the death, the better the meat, the more testoserone, etc.

So go on and be the man you are and keep eating there. Just watch out for the foreigner with tight green stockings on. I'll be circling the premises with fire sticks and ball-peen hammers to hit the customers as they frantically exit. Laughing

It's cool, I agree that the way the dogs are allegedly killed (I doubt ALL dog farms use such brutal methods) is out of order. But hey, I don't have much of a conscience if I'm brutally honest so I will continue to enjoy frequenting my local Boshintang restaurant. It's good for the stamina you know Wink

eye for an eye.

These dog killers don't give a shit at all, especially the one throwing it into the boiling water. Can you imagine how that would feel?

I could only watch about 3 seconds of that video; it made me think of my own dog.

That stuff is just something I don't want to think about.

Hmmm, throwing a dog in boiling water?

I'd love to throw that person in boiling water...

Sad but true.

This is the culture we live in here, most western people in Seoul will probably think this kind of thing doesn't happen in Korea.

Go to the countryside, see with your own eyes. Sad

Even the 53rd Korean treasure is eaten. Shocked

Most Koreans living in Seoul will visit their home towns and eat dog, but they will disregard this fact when meeting western people, who happen to mention eating dogs.

Why don't you warn people in the first post that they are going to see that, OP. The whole "surprise" thing is a little sensationalistic, wouldn't you say?

I've been privy to the inside of a chicken processing plant in the west. It's barely more humane than the dog video.

Westerners like their pet dogs sleeping at the foot of their beds. Koreans, generally, do not. Is it disgusting? Yes, for 9 out of ten westerners, it's atrocious.

How about beef? Ever seen an electric hammer pounded onto a steers skull? Not too pretty.

If you eat meat, you endorse animal cruelty plain and simple. I like the cheap supply of protein that beef, chicken and fish provide. So, I won't be joining PETA anytime soon.....

Also, my mouth waters when I start munching on live octopi. At least they kill the dogs before eating them. It's more than I do for the poor octopus.
