| I taught in Korea from Nov. 2006 - Nov., 2007. I was supposed to have gotten a background check, but I was hired in a hurry and never got around to it. Now I want to go back, but I feel confused about it. I'm a teacher in California who has a fingerprint clearance as required to teach here. I was wondering if I can use that. Otherwise I'll have to go back to a city I lived in for only 7 months or the city I'm in now, where I've lived all of two months. Neither seem very adequate. I'm not a criminal, but I could have done something earlier. Any idea if the old fingerprint clearance would work? I just got a new copy a couple of weeks ago. Sure would make things easier. |

| Along with the prints, you need a written CRC from a law enforcement agency. Your local police will probably do. If I were you I would visit the nearest Korean consulate, bring what you have and ask them what they require. I guess a phone call would work as well. |
