OK PEOPLE....
i have a dell inspiron 1720 with windows vista. got the s cable, hooked it up, even watched some CNN and an episode of lost on the TV already. my problem is i have to keep connecting and disconnecting my s-cable depending on when i want to watch tv from my laptop. when the desktop is on my tv screen the computer monitor goes BLACK until i disconnect the s-cable and reboot. then when i reboot, the icons on my desktop are HUGE but then resize after the computer is fully rebooted. i have managed to have my computer on and the tv display on at the same time, but i do this all I can see on my tv is the wallpaper of my desktop, no icons, no nothing. i guess my question is, how can i get the display working on both monitors???
DID THIS MAKE ANY SENSE??? do i have to just keep connecting and disconnecting the s-cable? that just seems....wrong....like when my mother didn't know how to work her new HDTV and just kept unplugging it. please don't make me my mother! ok thanks. |
