I exchanged some cash at the airport when i first arrived, but not all of it because the rate seemed really bad (i believe it was 909won to 1 USD) I had read that there were lots of places to exchange money but have not seen any such place. I don't have a bank account, so i don't know if i can exchange it at any bank, but would the rates be bad there as well? I am currently in gangnam, so any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Also, i realize that there have been numerous posts regarding this matter, but upon searching, i didn't find any answers to my query. Thanks you in advance, internet world |

spliff is right. korea isn't set up to accomodate any foreign banking needs conveniently on the weekend. you can try the currency exchanges in itaewon, among other places, but i wouldn't expect great rates. probably better than incheon int'l airport though. only exchange there if you have you no other option! |
