I've never seen so much talk about std's than on this board . You'd think coming to korea was the first exposure to sex most of you people have had . |

You can get a basic STD and AIDS test done as a blood test through the little clinic above the Family Mart and Lucky Strike bar (which is now being converted into an electronics store) in Itaewon. It's near Hooker Hill. They are cheap, but use a good external lab. The cost is somewhere north of 30,000 won, and results come in a day or two. I just had one done a few months ago, as I have done yearly for many years. I know it covered AIDS and Chlamydia, as well as the other common STDs of that nature. If you think you have something external like Herpes, I probably wouldn't go there, as it's not the most private set-up.
You can also go to the International Clinic and pay between 100,000 and 400,000 won for tests of different levels. I went there twice until I found the less expensive option.
I advise you to try the cheap one first. Tell your doctor your symptoms, and he'll suggest something.
PM me if you want more info. |

You must be child of Bush and company's abstinence only program.
For anonymous AIDS testing (meaning they won't report you to the Korean government if you have it), go to the UNAIDS center. Do a quick online search for it, I think they are now located near Gireum station on line 4. |
