|
|
i've searched through most of the pension threads and haven't found a direct answer for this...i'm leaving my contract early at the 8 month mark and my employer is well aware of this so i'm not just leaving out of the blue...
when i go to the pension office, since i have my e-ticket already, is there anything extra i need to bring with me besides, my bank information at home, passport, ARC and e-ticket...do i need to bring the original contract and do i need a letter or release stating that the company knows i'm leaving?
thank you in advance... |

ARC, ticket and bank information is all that is required (assuming your employer actually paid into the pension plan). |

Pulled up an old post with the same question but I thought I'd piggy back on this thread here, too. Is it absolutely neccessary to have a Bank Book from my Canadian account when I apply for my pension refund....or is it okay to simply have the account information (institution code/transit number etc)? The pension website says I need "a bank book or similar (registered to the person making the claim)." |

Make sure you don't wait to the last minunute to claim your pension in case your boss hasn't paid and needs some nudging. |

You need: 1. passport 2. ARC 3. return ticket with departure date 4. bank book OR bank statement OR remittance receipt from a ROK bank showing your home country's account info.
DO NOT waltz into a pension office w/your bank a/c info scribbled on a scrap of paper. That is not acceptable proof to the bureaucracy.
If all goes well, you'll have the money in about 5 weeks. |

It's not scribbled....it's neatly typed. Thanks though. Must get this squared away, pronto. |
