Can anyone recommend a decent place to stay in Gagye Beach, Modo-ri, Uisin-myeon, Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do? I want to go there to see the parting of the sea in April. Thanks so much! Smile

Just wanted to point out that the actual festival will be held in May, although since the tides work all year 'round you'll be able to see some of the sea road in April.

As far as accommodation, I'm sure you can find a guesthouse on the beach. The beach, though, is only about 8 miles from Jindo-eup (population of 11,000), the nearest town. A quick Naver search turned up 8 love motels there, so I don't think you'll have any problems getting a room. As for actual recommendations, sorry I don't have any.

Thanks. Yes, that's the site I found. But I don't want to be with 400,000 people! That's why I decided to go on the first Sunday in April.
