Hello! I am asking for advice again! Has anyone heard anything about the REI Language School in Yeosu or have any information on the Yeosu area?
I would be very grateful for any advice anyone can offer me!

You've probably found this already:

http://www.korea.net/issue/2002worldcup/region_yeosu.html
http://www.yeosu.jeonnam.kr/english/index.html
http://koreabridge.com/photos/thumbnails.php?album=12

I dug this up when applying for a job at another place in Yeosu. I was told that there isn't much of an expat/nightlife scene there, but the air's pretty clean and there's places to bike and hike and some really nice scenery. I'll see for myself in December (if I've signed up for too much peace and quiet? Smile).

I don't know anything about that school though, sorry.
Best of luck with your choice.

No I hadn't found two of those sites. I don't mind too much about the lack of ex pat life. Hopefully it would give me the chance to meet more Korean people! It sounds like a lovely place. I gues it depends what you want! If I do sign the contract (which I hope I will) I will be arriving beginning of december as well so we should definately swop e-mails or something! Thanks for your advice Smile

Sure! check your PM. Also, if you'd like to see more photos of Yeosu, keep an eye out for a book called 'Yeosu Korea/Sea and Land for a New Community'. There isn't much that's terribly useful in the book, but it has lots of nice photos you can show your friends and family. I think it was published for the city's bid for the 2010 World Expo--they didn't bag it Crying or Very sad. I feel a bit sad when I flip through it.

Best of luck with your contract!

Q: How long has REI been around for?

A: Depends on who you ask because there is an internal war at the moment.

This is not about any individual REI school, as I am sure there are good ones and bad ones. This is only about the structure itself.

Now I am unsure of what to do. I had only found 1 other report on the internet about the chain and it was a nice one! The hours are very good (2-8 Mon to Friday). I am still waiting for a reference from a teacher who works there though so I guess I should see what she says. Thanks for your info though- it was much appreciated!
