S.Korea, China to Allow Visa-Free Travel
Starting this summer, Chinese and South Korean nationals will be allowed to travel to each other's countries without visas.
The Ministry of Justice says the two-way plan is in anticipation of more Chinese tourists traveling to South Korea.
The South Korean government hopes the plan will attract more tourists and help boost the Korean economy.
But there are concerns that problems such as illegal immigration and drug trading will increase with the number of visitors.
The visa-free visits will be allowed from July to September on a trial basis, after which the ministry will decide whether or not to continue the agreement.
