Not entirely unexpected. I have a week to clean up and pack up. I just wanted to say that I intend to clean the place before I go. The last guy left so much grease and garbage, it took me 3 days just to make the place half way habitable. Evil or Very Mad

I hope others out there would do the same.

I can't say I'm sad to be leaving, after 14 months I think I've had enough.
I did the best that I could, and didn't get much in the way of help or guidance from the school......... just complaints. Mad

I am not angry with them, at least not as long as I get what I'm owed. Student numbers are down, so I guess they haven't much choice. Chalk it up to experience I guess. They said I was too soft, didn't push the kids enough, didn't do enough book work, couldn't control the classes.(big surprise there Laughing ) Well, that is true I suppose, but they sure didn't give me any help with those things either. So, whatever.

When I first came, they told me I was too strict, and that I was scaring the students, now it's the opposite. It's a strange balancing act, trying to accomodate the parents, the boss and at the same time trying to keep the students happy and learning.

Anyway, I think I'll take some much needed time off, maybe study some Korean, do some travelling, consider my options before taking the plunge again. It's been an "experience". Shocked Confused

Cheers

Hey Austin, no hard feelings, OK?

No cleaning up for me.
Somebody is staying on. I'll leave it up to him because he is the messy *beep* anyway.

Don't let your experience make you think you let the hakwon down- you didn't. You're put in a "rock & and a hard place" situation, like hundreds over here. And definitely leave a clean place, free of clutter, for the next occupant: wouldn't the world be a grander place if everybody did that? Hey, aren't you a stubble jumper from the "gap"? Riders are a win away from playing for the Grey Cup at Taylor Field.... Cheers.

And a mighty fine one it is.

Except for the high taxes, high unemployment, low wages, lack of opportunities............... go West my son, go West.
So how did I end up in the East? Laughing
