I want to see what I can expect to see when I get their. I assume the apartments there are small since they say it is very expensive to have space there.
Do you have a stove and oven?
Do you need flip-flops for the bathroom since they say in Korea you shower on the floor? |

Some teachers have posted videos of their apartments on YouTube. Just do a search on Korea apartments. |

Picture a closet with a bed and that's a Korean apartment. If you get anything larger, shout "Praise The Lord." |

Most apartments will have some kind of stove top, but ovens in korea are quite rare. |

i am here in Seoul with my boyfriend, our apartment is quite big!! 3 bedrooms, a large kitchen/living room area, and a big bathroom.
but it's old and UGLY. they worked on it a lot after we complained, so it doesn't look half as bad now. |

Your apartment size/condition/age will be direct reflection of the rental market where you live.
A school will spend W450,000-500,000/month on your rent. In the 'boonies' that amount will get huge, modern, two (maybe three)-bedroom. In an expensive area of a big city, that amount will get you an old, mouldy, 'broom closet'. |

My first "apartment" in Korea was so small, you could touch each wall at the same time. |

Usually its a trade-off between nice and tiny or big and dingy. In the good parts of a city or in a new building, expect basically a bedroom-sized affair with the kitchen area on one side. No oven. In my first place, I just got a hotplate, a sink and a minifridge. Many bathrooms have no shower stall and the showerhead is right on the wall. This is actually a good thing for cleaning the bathroom. If it's an older building, your employer is generous or you're in the boonies, you might get several rooms. |

Here are some photos of my apartment in Ilsan when I first moved in, for which I am very grateful.

I think I might have applied at your school, or at least I saw pictures of it while I was looking for jobs. It's funny; they said that the top picture was the school.
Speaking of pictures, I see that you like The Onion. |

I think I watched your apartment tour on Youtube last year. Are you the guy that was saying how hot it was and that you were going to sleep downstairs on the couch? |
