Hey there,
I left Korea for Canada in July after a slightly messy affair with my public school. My original visa was from January 2007-Jan.2008
After a month back at home I found a new job in Seoul but I was denied a new work visa by the consulate - they didn't give me a real reason and said some bull**** about my old school saying I was a "bad employee". I did have a LoR and all that jazz but whatever.
Fast forward to now. I am going to be in Japan for a 6 week vacation in the spring and was contemplating on making a 1 or 2 day trip back to Korea mainly to get my pension and tax money that is still sitting in their coffers. The process to get the money back while one is overseas is a long-winded one and will cost me at least $150 Cdn because of the strange requirement for a Notary to stamp my docs.
My concern is would I be denied entry into Korea because of what happened earlier on?
Also, if I do get into the country, is the pension process pretty much the same if I had gotten it before I left? |

You shouldn't be denied a tourist visa for those things. |

You should have no problem entering on a tourist stamp.
The process to get your pension would be the same as though you were just leaving. Apply at the local pension office with your ARC number, flight ticket out of the country and bank information for the funds to be forwarded to. |

Thanks for the replies.
One more Q.
Say if I ever decided to get a student visa, perhaps later this year or early next year. Would I have any problems getting one? |
