This almost didn't happen, as many Red Sox players and coaches weren't too thrilled about starting the season in Japan (I don't know how the Oakland A's felt about it, but they are a helluva lot closer to Japan than Boston). However, that's obviously been resolved (at least to MLB's satisfaction).
It's good news that Matsuzaka is expected to be pitching the season opener (it still might not happen if his pregnant wife back in Boston goes into labor). That'll get the Tokyo Dome crowd more amped up.
I wonder if the games will be televised here in Korea? |

As a person who hasn't watched MLB in YEARS. How did this happen that the Red Sox are doing their season opener in Japan? |

Some teams have done this in the past. I guess MLB figures it's good biz. |
