Hello, I'll have a couple of days in Yeosu to see the sights, and I was wondering what sights are there to be seen. Any suggestions?

* Dolsan Park and Dolsan Bridge. Right underneath Dolsan Bridge is a little harbor with ships that'll take you on boat tours of the outlying islands. Okay, I guess the park is nothing special, but it's pleasant, and the bridge is fairly well-known, and changes colors at night.
* Odong-do
* Hyangiram hermitage
* Geomun-do sounds interesting (former Russian and British territory). Get there via an early-morning ferry from the wharf.
* There are some beaches, but from what I hear they're disappointing.
* If you like temples, I'd recommend visiting Suncheon, the city next door, and visit Seonamsa and Songgwangsa (I like Seonamsa better, especially in the spring).

The Yeosu website is pretty worthless, so if you need directions or more tips, post back here.

Hyangiram is #1
Odongdo is #2
Dolsan park is a distant #3
Jinnamgwan is an even more distant #4

All can be done at a fairly leisurely pace in a day.

and there are boat tours that leave from Odongdo also. A nice circle to make would be Odongdo, boat tour, Dolsan, then Hyangiram. Hyangiram way out there on Dolsan island though, around a 70,000 won taxi for odongdo to hyangiram and back.

There are a couple of buses that go to Hyangiram. Check out the bottom of this page: http://english.kbs.co.kr/life/travel/spots/1338442_11625.html
Nearly 90 minutes each way, though, but that's really the one site you should see. Best to do that first, I think.

The boat tour is nice, too.

Jinnamgwan is located on a hill overlooking Dolsan Bridge. There's nothing special although there is a small museum. It's right next to a small pedestrian shopping area. It's about a 25-minute walk from Dolsan Bridge, though you can probably catch a cab.

You shouldn't have much trouble finding a love motel. There are a few within walking distance from the bus terminal. There are also scores around Turtle Park (거북공원).

Look him up ... he's apparently still "shuffling" around down there somewhere.

Friends have told me there are LOTS of moonie "church" members down in Yeosu as well.

They're very "friendly" & might even approach you, wanting to strike up a conversation, or something like this.

igtg.

Why do you insist on being absolutely worthless and spoiling as many threads as possible? Hard to believe you're able to function in a foreign country. I pray to Xenu that you're not permitted around children.

Dude ...

There's seriously there's lots of Moonies down in Yeosu.

The OP tells us they're going to Yeosu. Was simply sharing some regionally related cultural info.
