| I'm thinking of taking a part time (20 hour a week) morning job that will ponsor an e2 visa for me. Do you think i should ask them for some key money (not a lot, only 1 or 2 mill) or would that be considered bad form? I don't want housing from them, i'll pay the rent but just some key money. |

Legally, anything over 22 hours per week is considered to be full time and you would be entitled to full benefits. |

are you an f-2? Do you need housing?
if you need it, ask. if you don't, don't.
bad form? no. Not here, not in any country/ culture. |

| Do you want it for housing or do you want to stick it in a bank for a year? If it's the later...it's not going to happen. |
