is there anyone around from my neighborhood back home so we can get together and avoid the rest of the 6 billion or so scum on this earth?
Not that they are bad scum, but they just aren't like the good people back home that I left to get away from. Don't get me wrong, I want to travel and broaden my horizons...just not too much. Well, to be honest, I'm sure the rest of the 6 billion are OK in their way, but I'd rather not have to mix with them.

| He's being sarcastic about people posting who want to meet up with other westerners. Personally i have no problem at all with people coming here and hanging out with folks from back home or other western people. To me, hanging out with like minded people i can understand in more than a superficial way is a necessity here. As to the op, he's in his 60's and has said before that he's gone for months without having any interaction with other foreigners, good for him if thats the life he chooses to lead but personally i'd never choose that path. |

Yeah I knew a few types like that who shunned all contact with anyone unless it was a hot a$$ed chick from the west. Man were they wierd. Eventually you've just got to have a conversation with somebody thats on the same wavelength as yourself. There are a fair share of a-holes here but there's also lots of good people too. I made some of my very best western friends in Korea. |

I think you might have trouble convincing them to give up their pork tenderloins for kimchi or curry. best leave well enough alone. |
