My wallet is gone (either lost or stolen) and it had all my ID/CC/ARC.
I asked my job if they can get me a replacement card. She called Immigration, and got the response that I must go THERE to get a new one in person.
Anyone know a way around this? |

Afraid not, they are fairly strict on this policy. My friend lost their ARC and had a replacement made. Later found the first ARC and had to turn it in to immigration as well by showing up in person. |

This happened to a friend of mine back in Gumi.
Immi told her that before she could get a replacement ARC, she needed to go to the police station and report hers lost/stolen. Immi required the police report/receipt in order to process the application for a replacement ARC. |

That is exactly right. It has happened to several people that I know, and that is what they had to do. |

I had a similar experience last year ... And before Immigration will issue you with a replacement ARC you need to go to the police station and have the appropriate form filled in my the police ... which you then take with you to immigration ... (Unless you are fluent in Korean I would suggest taking someone with you who can translate for you ... It will make it much easier for you ... I took my main CT with me and it was easier than it otherwise would have been) ... The police report is NOT optional .... Neither is going to the appropriate Immigration Office to apply for the replacement .... |
