Im looking for a cheap/free mobile phone. One that's pay as you go, ie pay up front, and without all the hassle of registering it etc.

you have to register a phone, it's not optional ... unless you use someone else's name.

if you go to yongsan or technomart, "card" phones (as koreans call them) start at about $50. charge is $10 for about 27 minutes of call time ... incoming calls are free.

they're usually second hand phones, but many are in good condition.
