| My kids keep saying this to me, when they see my psoriasis, wondering what it means, anybody know? |

| Maybe they are trying to suggest you need a toupee? Is the psoraisis making you bald? That was the first thing that came to mind when I saw your title. They could be butchering the pronunciation of the word. |

Mine can get pretty bad, on my face and arms, it comes and goes though.....
Dont think they were telling me to get a toupee - Ive let myself go cos Im about to leave, and grown a full dirty beard. Some of my teen girl students were calling me 'Jesus' today. |

Ah no worries, like I said it was the first thing that popped into my head when I read the title.
I also have Atopy in the form of ezcema which was really hard to explain to the pharmacist when I was trying to get some hydrocortisone or some other cream for it. I wish I had known the word Atopy, it might have saved some time with trying to write it out and using the comp for translation. I'm lucky the only place I really get it is on the back of my ears and into my hairline. It's nice that it's hidden like that but it looks really bad when I get an outbreak, makes dandruff look like nothing. |
