|
|
| Hi all. I'm hoping to get my haircut at a Toni & Guy Salon as soon as I can make it there. I'm finding it difficult to find directions to the salon itself, as well as I understand there are two salons --- one in Apgujeong and the other in Cheongdam. Can anyone provide me with directions to either, say from the subway, or a landmark, such as Galleria department store? Many thanks in advance. |

| One is right across from the City Air Terminal at COEX. It's expensive though, 33,000won. |

| There is a much cheaper chain of male hair salons here called Mr. Nice Guy. If you see it, check it out. They have always done an excellent job with cutting my hair for only 5,000 won. I don't know, maybe you're a chick and then it wouldn't matter. But I wouldn't want to pay 33,000 won for a hair cut. |

Directions to Chundam-dong Toni & Guy:
From outside Galleria, walk up the hill (with Galleria on your left). Cross the road at the first pedestrian crossing (about 5 minutes walk) next to the Ralph Lauren shop and go straight up the little road directly opposite (next to Hyundai Oil Bank). Go up the (quite steep) hill and turn left. Go down that road for about 30 seconds and you come to Toni and Guy on the left.
I've been going there for just over a year now and can't fault it. |

| 33,000 is not expensive for a good haircut. It's different for girls getting their haircut than for a guy |

| I went there and paid 220,000 for a cut and foils and was very disappointed. The cut was horrible and the foils turned yellow after I washed my hair. Zen near Ewha station is a lot better and cheaper too - they know what they're doing! |

| hmm, ok, i guess i'm going to have to take my chances, as i hear good and bad reports on both toni&guy and zen. i've been to zen for a few cuts and was satisfied, though not overly impressed. i've heard of a few personal accounts of dying disasters from zen as well. can anyone recommend an english speaking stylist they've successfully been serviced by at toni & guy and at which location? also, do you know what kind of dye they use? (i.e. aveda) i'm not looking to get highlights done; instead i'm having them dye my hair back to its natural shade of brown. many thanks in advance! |
