I got contacted by someone at Yee Eun Jae Hagwon in Songpa. Apparently it is a high-level foreign language prep school for those wanting to get into foreign language high schools or study overseas. They haven't had a foreign teacher before, but they are one of the biggest hagwons in Songpa and, from what my K-wife could find online, are a pretty high-end hagwon. Apparently many online compared it to Cheongdam Institute, which Koreans say pays foreign teachers 100,000 won per hour, but on these boards it sounds like it's not a great place to work, so I don't know what Korean students comparing this Yee Eun Jae Hagwon to CDI could mean for me.

The position they are hiring for is "a native teacher who is going to
teach writing and speaking for the junior high school students" with an emphasis on TOEFL-related application of those skills. They want someone four hours a day M-F and currently have no curriculum for the courses that the foreign teacher would teach, but with my experience I am confident I could create such a curriculum.

My questions are:

Have you heard of this place? What do you think of working there?

What kind of pay range could I expect for this position? I have five years teaching experience (one full year as an iBT TOEFL teacher) and a B.A. and M.A. in linguistics.

Thanks for any help/ideas.
