Hi,

We have moved into a place with aircon that is minus the remote control!

The make is Daewoo, Suphia: Model No. DS-065M.
I can only see a power switch on the actual unit itself, but we don't know at what setting it's at.
Is it possible to buy remotes, or are there dedicated companies who clean/service AC units (replace missing remotes etc..)?

Try to find a Daewoo "Klasse" brand dealer. Check your local department store or Mart-eh which sell Daewoo a/c units. Give them the model number and as for a "lee-mo cone" (remote control)

Chances are they'll say they don't know...but give it a try. If you have a Korean friend to help, even better.

For my replacement remote control needs, I usually use www.newremotecontrol.com to get something with English labels. On that site, here is all I could find for Daewoo air conditioners.

usually they have a number on a sticker somewhere on the aircon.

you can order the remote from them.....

also my friend bought a universal aircon remote from the appliance store...
