Is 2 years long enough for a school to be open without worrying that it'll close and leave you stranded? |

I'd consider the number of students more important.
Someone who knows more about hagwons these days can give an idea of how many students are needed to keep the place afloat. It depends on school size, etc. |

If it is a public school - yes.
If it is a hakwon, I would count heads.
150-300 = probably here here for at least another year.
Less than 150 = walk away.
Less than 100 = run away.
Less than 50 = Don't even slow down to look back. |

Would this apply everywhere or just in Seoul? |

It would apply to just about everywhere in the country.
Realistically, how can a school with less than 50 students afford to support an E2 teacher, have at least one Korean staff member and pay rent without living on borrowed time and money.
I am not even sure if a school that small would even be able to sponsor (legally) an E2 teacher. |
