btw i knew because the flags have been up for days and a cab driver told me it would be today |

I asked if it was North Korea attacking.

| Lots of jets flying over Daegu after the siren. I am newbie and was out on my daily bike ride when it happened. Had a genuine 'what the *beep* am I doing here' moment . . . just waiting for a big white flash on the horizon. |

| Yeah, we just had a flyover. Not sure how on earth the North Koreans would fly all the way to Suncheon without anybody noticing, but apparently today's exercise confirms the possibility of that happening. |

Ha, maybe I've been teaching the public elementary curriculum too long but any white flash on the horizon I'd immediately assume was Zeeto, the alien from the grade three text, using a special camera with flashbulb to take pictures of us earthlings from his cool UFO. I could be wrong though^^ |

I wonder what has the potential to do the most damage?
A) A North Korean attack
B) Bringing every single motorized vehicle in the country to a comlplete stop, putting everyone 15 minutes behind schedule and then unleashing ALL of them at the same instant by blowing a whistle.
Sheesh...I was out on my bike. Now I know what an F-1 driver who stalls at the front of the grid during the start of a race feels like. Writ large...

| ^ not everyone driving stops. once i was stopped at the crosswalk by one of the air siren whistle ladies, all the cars stopped, nice and quiet except for the siren....then i hear a reving of a motorcycle, and this guy on a great bike blows by the middle-aged ladies (all the while blowing their whistles or yelling, and scurrying out of the way..). pretty hilarious |
