I spend a good amount of time stuck at a computer in between classes and was thinking of using this time to make some extra cash.
After spending some time googling through the many possible scams I was wondering if anyone here knew of any legit, legal things I could do online for some extra cash instead of sitting here looking at a blank screen all day. |

Trade futures or options-risky but can be highly profitable if done well.
Day trade the stockmarket.
Setup a raffle at school-10k won per entry and have unheard of foreign prizes deemed to be worth their weight in gold. |

| Do you need the 40k minimum in your account before you day trade in Korea? (something like that in NA no?... I read that somewhere, but can't remember where...) |

There is no legal minimum for day trading. You could day trade with $500 in Korea or America. The problem is, let's say you buy 10 shares of a stock that's $50 and will have to pay commissions of $20 ($10 for buy, $10 for sell). To break even, the stock will have to hit $52. When you take into account the bid/ask spreads, it's even more difficult. Under the same scenario but with $50,000, the stock would have to hit $50.02 for you to break even.
As for the original OP, I have a lot of experience in the Internet marketing field. I'd suggest you take a topic you're interested in and start a blog. You can throw Google AdSense ( http://adsense.google.com ) on it and try to make some change. I'd give you a 1% chance of ever making the $10 minimum to actually get paid. Either way, it might be fun and you might end up making some money out of it. You could get more serious about actually trying to make decent cash but it's not really that easy.

thats not true, there are limits on day trading stocks.
last i read, if you trade stocks and have less than 25,000$ in your trading account, you can only make two trades a week. those are US laws though, im not sure what happens in korea. |

It's something like less than 3 round turns (buy and sell in the same day) in a rolling 5 day period. But that is only for stocks and (I think) options. One can still day trade futures. |

zecco account has $0 trades (for Americans I think) of up to 10 trades a month. There's a $2500 minimum however. As for trading, you can only trade "settled" funds. If you try to trade unsettled funds, you can have your money frozen for a month or so. So let's say you bought and sold something the same day and used up all your cash to do so. Well you can buy stocks again the same day but you can't sell for 3 days at least.
So you can
buy-sell-buy all on the same day, but sell 3 days later. Some accounts won't even let you buy the second time. This is what margin accounts are for. |
