homeowrk and test during the first five minutes of my classes. It's really frustrating. I don't know how to go about it. I complained to my boss earlier to no avail. |

Is this a hagwon (I'm assuming so since you said 'boss', not 'principal')? Why not just make it a class rule, then? The first 5 minutes of your lesson is for the KT's homework.
At my public school the KET's sometimes ask for part of my lesson to do something there wasn't time for in theirs. The older ones usually just inform me and the younger one asks very politely. I don't have a problem with that. |

Guess I was just being over sensitive. Even my K-gilfriend said it was crappy, though. I'll just show up to those classes 10 minutes late in the future. |

If it were me, I'd show up on time and then stroll around the classroom peering over the students shoulders, and feigning interest in their "busy work".
Your co-teacher will probably be impressed by your genuine "care" for the students progress, while at the same time be little uncomfortable with your "interest" in her class work.
She'll be insulted and flattered at the same time, ultimately causing her to give up on trying understand it, you and why she needs five minutes of your class anyway.

It just really angered me at first walking in there and the students all telling me no and to wait until they were finished. |

Mate I dunno if you haven't realised this yet but we don't actually really make much of a difference in the classroom anyway. I know we like to kid ourselves that we are the saviors of public school education in Korea but honestly we're not.
Losing 5 minutes of your class time isn't going to stop Mi-na or Min-su going to Seoul National. |

There used to be a math teacher at my school who would not release the students when class was over, so they could come to English class. I finally would just go into the math class, and start picking up all the books and papers of the students. They would follow me out.
The math teacher was livid, but after a week, the students just stood up and picked up all their stuff, and followed me when they saw me walk in. |

That's different. Mathtard is messing with your class and you have students coming in 5 or 10 minutes late while you're already teaching other students. And for what? 5 minutes of math? When the bell rings, class is over. |

So I don't have to work as much as before. Damn I'm pissed off.
Serious OP. Of all the things to bitch about...less work time is not one of them.
Get a 50 hour a week job then fool. |
