School has furnished me with an older Averatec pc to replace my knackered Samsung.

Avaratec 6300 series.

The touchpad is wild though and the slightest brush sets it scrolling.

I can't find any settings for reducing sensitivity or turning it off.

Any ideas as to how to do it?

On my laptop, I can switch it on/off in the BIOS settings, but no options for sensitivity. Have a look in your BIOS setup - it might be there.

I have averatec, maybe you should go to control panel and see if there is no way to change the sensitivity.

Looked through it but can't see anything. All in Korean as well.

Will check the BIOS and see if it can just be turned off.
