Anyone know if you can ship a Honda back to Canada/USA. I know Korean built bikes you can't...
Any idea on cost per bike to send to Vancouver, or Cali?
Sorry to hijack this thread....BUT......
HIJACKED!! lol....if I can ship this back to Canada after a year, I would buy it. |

you could always break it down into parts and ship it back.
Cheaper on the import tax as well. Not sure how yoou would go about registering it in Canada after that though. |

VEHICLES PURCHASED OUTSIDE CANADA AND THE UNITED STATES
The Motor Vehicle Safety Act and Regulations require that all vehicles imported into Canada comply, at the time of importation, with the Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standards in effect on the date the vehicle was manufactured. Vehicles manufactured for sale in countries other than Canada and the United States do not comply with the requirements of the Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Act, CANNOT be altered to comply and CANNOT be imported into Canada. The only exceptions to this rule are vehicles fifteen (15) years old or older as determined by the month and year in which the vehicle was manufactured and buses manufactured before January 1, 1971."
So, now my question is was it made FOR Korea? Or was it imported from somewhere? |

Imported motor vehicles are subject to U.S. safety standards, bumper standards, and air pollution control (emission) standards. Most vehicles manufactured abroad that conform with U.S. safety, bumper, and emission standards are exported expressly for sale in the United States; therefore, it is unlikely that a vehicle obtained abroad meets all relevant standards. Be skeptical of claims by a foreign dealer or other seller that a vehicle meets these standards or can readily be brought into compliance. Nonconforming vehicles entering the United States must be brought into compliance, exported, or destroyed.
NOTE: lmports from Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Libya, or North Korea, or that involve the governments of those countries, are generally prohibited. See Prohibited Imports for more information. |
