I ordered a Harmony Remote off eBay a few weeks ago and in the box was a surprise......a Magellan eXplorist 500LE!!!
First off....there are no maps for South Korea, except the basemap (i think). So, I wouldn't suggest buying it unless you are heading home, or want it as a gift for someone.
The box wasn't sealed, so I opened it up to see what the deal was. It is brand new (as far as I can tell). Everything is in there. The GPS still has the plastic screen cover. I didn't turn it on as I don't have the AAA's, but can if you want me to.
The Magellan lists it for $199. TigerDirect.ca lists it for $129. You can get them on eBay for around $120......
It's yours for 110,000won, firm. I'm not too stressed if I don't sell it as I can easily send it home as a gift for someone. I don't know anything about it other than what is written below.
Here are some specs from the Magellan site.

The built-in color map of North America makes it easy to view roads, rivers, waterways, greenways, city centers, airports and other major points of interest. Save 5 track logs, 20 routes and 500 points of interest to the 8 MB available internal memory. Store an unlimited amount of data on your own SD cards.
The Magellan Geocache Manager enables you to download coordinates from the Internet directly to your eXplorist 500 and the PC-style file system makes it easy to manage all your data.
Easily add detailed MapSend maps for topographic or marine navigation and turn-by-turn street guidance.
Intelligently designed for comfortable right or left handed use, the clearly marked keypad provides one-touch access to all your most important features. Joystick controller makes scrolling the simple menus fun and easy. The large color display is easy-to-read day or night. Customizable navigation screens show your location, speed, direction, and distance to destination and more, just the way you want it.
Slip your compact (2.2 in x 4.7 in) eXplorist into your pocket and let it guide you on every outdoor adventure. Magellan TrueFixTM technology provides superior accuracy and reliability, giving you the freedom to explore without concern of getting lost.
Your eXplorist 500 is lightweight and pocket-sized so you can take it with you everywhere.
The eXplorist 500LE does not include a Li-ion battery or AC adapter but offers all the great GPS features and functions of the eXplorist 500 for a lower price.

Are you selling just the GPS unit or the maps CD and stuff that came with it? Got any pictures of the actual unit?
Cheers,

I'm selling exactly what comes when you buy it from a store - In the box there is the manual, cable, a CD, to be honest I know absolutely nothing about it - I don't know what maps come with it. Reading the website, it doesn't sound like much.
It's just an extra 'gift' in the package I received. The eBay seller put in in my package by mistake (along with my actual item). Shipping took forever, so i'll take it as a gift |
