hey guys

can someone define in Korean terms what is "Semi-Furnished" and what is "non-furnished"? what can i expect to get with each option. Also, what is a good amount of money in KRW to put down in key money to get a decent place, and what will the rent cost with that? Thanks very much guys for your help

A decent UNFURNISHED officetel or villa (bachelor suite) will run 5-10 million in key money and 300-500k per month in rent + utilities and maintainence fees (depending on where you are located).

Non furnished means exactly that - nothing in the apartment.

Semi-furnished means it has what they say is in it and can mean anything from just a sleeping pad and wardrobe to virtually fully furnished including the dishes.

Get specifics BEFORE you sign on the dotted line and, as a newbie, do NOT accept a contract without included housing.

In my experience, unfurnished comes with kitchen cabinets (but not appliances) and a shoe cabinet.
