I just got my new alien registration card and my hagwon is asking me again for my degree, ARC, and a Korean background check so they can register me with the Department of Education. Ive never heard this before so Im a little unsure if I need to do all this.
Ive submitted all these details, plus an Australian criminal check, when I applied for my visa earlier this year. Has anyone heard of this additional step? Ive worked in Korea for 3 years and am unfamiliar with it.
Thanks in advance. |

Give them photo copies. They don't need the originals. It is common but was probably done by your director in years past. |

This happens all the time as agencies here just don't share information, I have lost count how many times that I have had to present my credentials. Last year we had to prove that we had been to Uni by showing we were members of the alumni. Just give them photocopies, I gave my school photocopies of everything and now when this BS comes calling they just send the info for me. |
