Sorry if this has been asked before. In an act of sheer impulse, I'm thinking of blowing my savings on a Macbook here in Busan. I have a few questions:
-Is OS X easily switchable between languages, or will I have to get an English OS CD like I would with a Windows computer?
-are there any major technical differences between macs sold here and those back in North America? (I'm guessing no)
-anyone have any dealings with the Mac store in Seomyeon?
-most importantly: what sort of sales tax will I have to pay?
-anything else important I haven't thought of?
Thank you! |

OS X includes localization input for most languages. Just add the language in system preferences, change they key short-cut in keyboards and use Command/Space to switch between languages.
the only difference between the KR macbooks and NA are the keyboards. the KR keyboard include both KR/EN keys.
All the mac prices are the usually the same where ever you go (check the apple.co.kr site for reference), and KR VAT taxes are already included in the prices. |

| Heads up everyone - the Apple vendor in Seomyeon (a# store) has the previous generation Macbooks on sale, for around $100 - $300 off. If you can stand a slightly smaller HD and a 5% slower Intel chip, there are good deals to be had. |
