As of midnight last night (Friday) we seem to have lost another English channel. True, On Style was littered with Ryan Seacrest and crappy shows about Hollywood celebrities and their pets, but it was one of the few english channels that we got on basic cable. How will I survive without the Simple Life now?

Anyone else lose it? I know myself and few others have down in Jeolla Gwangju.

I thought we had lost it, but after channel surfing, I found it again on a different channel. Weird.

We lost OnStyle a few weeks ago, really randomly. We also lost AFN at the same time, however we gained Fox and Discovery, so it was a fair trade. We can't seem to find it on any other channels, unfortunately.

I remember having fox! Well, Korean fox. It's such a distant memory now. Can't remember if it was any good. Did they play COPS all the time, or was that the channel that played Law & Order 8 times a day?

I like Fox. Where else can I watch Doctor Who? I liked Alice before it lost all its Brit programming. They used to have Spooks and Midsummer Mysteries.

Does anybody know why some places have CNN and some places don't? What's the deal with that?

I'm in Jeollanam-do and my channels got switched a few days ago. I'm happy with the trade, though.

I lost: Arirang (YES!)

I gained: Fox Life, X Sports, Korean MTV

I kept: Discovery, OnStyle, OCN, CGV, Fox, Olive, Alice, StoryOn, CNTV.

Damn you Smee Wink I remember all those channels you still have. Story On, Olive etc... until they slowly started changing my channels around.

Funny that they took away Arirang. I assumed that would be a given with ANY basic cable package.

You're not in Gwangju though, are you?

Oh, I just checked and I also picked up FX. Cops is on now, not sure what other English shows/movies they'll have. Also picked up "Ten," a "men's magazine channel," but it pretty much is just fishing.

I lost CNN in Jeonnam last spring. The only time I've seen it is in motel rooms (when I'm travelling, seriously). Kinda weird that they don't include that or BBC (also in most motel rooms) or some other English-language news channel. As of now the only all-English channel I have is Discovery Asia (which is still nice to have).

And I'm in Suncheon not Gwangju.

Where are you that you just got Fox and Discovery? I've beenw atching those two since I got here a year ago; I've always wondered how much the cable package varies from place to pace, and how cable zones are appotioned.

Fox is awesome. It has Dexter.
