Hi,
Has anyone here who has visited a police station in Korea during their time here and renewed their visa had any problems? I was in a fight with a foreigner and we were both charged with assaulting each other and we had to give signed statements, however we agreed not to prosecute each other and the case didn't go to court and no fines were issued. My school was also aware of it. I am wondering however if this incident will be picked up by immigration people when they are renewing my visa, or is fighting amongst foreigners not really a big deal? While I can provide a clean criminal record from my own country I hope this will not rule me out under the new regs...
Thanks for any helpful comments
No thanks for any condemnations |

You really shouldn't have anything to worry about. I renewed my visa with no problems at all. The problems come into play when you have done a serious crime like assaulting a Korean, or destroying property or something like that, but in that case you would most likely have been deported. Really, no sweat. |
