Sorry, can't help you there- I ditched Nero and went back to Roxio. I have friends who still swear by Nero, but I found Roxio's gui much more intuitive, and I've never had a problem with CDs burned using it. Actually, I never had a problerm with Nero either... but I've never been able to get it to do what I've been told it can do, which is take a large (900MB) DIVx file, break it to fit on 2 CDs and at the same time convert the format to VCD so it can be read by a tv top DVD player. I've downloaded and installed all the plug-ins, but still no luck. I think the person who told me Nero could do all this was blowing smoke up my butt. [At this point somebody might be asking "Why the hell would you want to do all that anyway?!?" A: I have lots of DIVx movies too large to burn on to CD and I have no DVD drive on my machine; obviously I'd like to get them off my hard drive and I figured at the same time it would be nice to put them on CD in a format that can be read by most tv-top DVD players.] |

I've been using Nero for 2 years without a hitch.
Music? No problem. In glorious stereo.
Movies? I just burnt 'Goodfellas' onto CD-R last night using Nero. It took all of 3 minutes 50 seconds. Perfect copy.
Itaewonguy,
If burning a movie takes an hour then something is wrong with your set-up. On any software! |

I had problems with Roxio. Nero 6 seems okay but I have to slow down my write speedto 8X or 12X. I haven't tested this out.
Bulsajo- This product claims to convert AVI to VCD
