I was in Insadong yesterday and walked by some batting cages. Wunderbar. My question is, however, must one bring one's own bat? Anybody been to this place before? Thanks

I guess you can if you want but they do have bats there - pretty bad ones though.

If I remember correctly, it's 500 won for 10 pitches. The bats there suck. The machines aren't great either.

Additionally, there are some batting cages midway between Shinchon Station and Ehwa Station. I have never been there though. And if anyone lives in Incheon, there are some close to the amusement park on Wolmido Island.

True. I never batted before but after a few hit attempts I was hitting like Barry Bonds,

Each machine has got the speed written on it and the name of the famous Korean pitcher whose throw it is supposed to replicate. Smile

Thanks for the info. I don't give a crap about quality (for now). I haven't been for about 10 years, so I can endure for the time being.

Last time I was there I remember losing the handle on a few bats (the tape on the is horrible) and had them fly all over the place.

There is a batting cage by my work in Daegu with the same type of bats - I am planning on giving them a new tape job soon.
