O.K. I have read EVERY post on here about SLP. I am not after general SLP related posts. What I would like to know if is anyone on the board has specifically taught at SLP Goyang? I am curious to know what this school is like in particular as from what I have read, SLP schools vary wildly, and at this early stage, I would appreciate any responses from individuals with experience at this school. Thanks in advance.

You will work longer than your friends at other hakwons and you will make the same money.

They will stand in front of the class for 1500 minutes per week. (30*50 minutes)
You will stand in front of it for 1840 minutes (up to 23*80 minute classes).

340 minutes = 5:40 more time in front of the class PER WEEK (times 50 weeks =
250 more hours for the same money over the length of your contract).

READ THE CONTRACT carefully.

There are two SLPs in goyang city. The good SLP is located in Ilsan at Jeongbalsan station .It is across the street from Lafesta.Since 2005 , I ve known about 5-6 different teachers whom have worked there , most thought it was ok.I know of two teachers that re signed. However you have to remember ,its still an SLP.

The other SLP is located at HWAJEONG STATION.This is one of the worse schools Ive ever seen.Shared housing ,and from what ive been told , the housing has insect problems. The manager is a moron.I knew of one teacher , whom was constantly being ripped off .At the end of the contract the manager asked if this teacher would consider coming back to work for SLP after a months vacation.
