I was finally able to connect my phone to a computer (school laptop) but Mobile Sync still doesn't work but I was able to switch the phone into portable disc mode so I can get my pictures off of it. I'm assuming I can drag ringtones/music onto it or put ringtones/music onto my microsd card. But.. it doesn't use mp3's.. the two files located in the "MP3" folder are .kmp files. I'm assuming this is what CYON phones use?

Anyone know how to convert files to .kmp?

I was signed up for the SHOW service that supposedly let me download 5 songs a month (without me knowing) but I don't know enough Korean to navigate through it so I had it cancelled.

My Ever phone only takes music files in .kmp format. I use a program downloaded from the Ever site which automatically converts mp3s to kmps, but the finished files cannot be used for ringtones, only for listening to.

Try the Cyon site.

Just give up buy a MP3 players.

Seriously phones and Music in this country is a garbage service. Why would you want to convert perfectly good clean mp3's in DRM infested bullshit. These files will not play on any other device.

I have mobilesync.. that much I could figure out. But it won't actually connect to my phone. It detects it and all but when I click on the buttons to "sync" it syncs forever and just never connects. ><

Temporary: I'm actually looking more for a way to put ringtones on it rather than to use my phone as an mp3 player. I do already have an mp3 player. I just thought the ringtones were also in .kmp format.

I'm not sure if they were ever capable of doing that. I had a phone from 2004 that would allow me to load .mp3 songs on it and play them from an SD card, but since then, the companies seem to force people to download/pay their service to listen to songs on phones. They do this so they can make money off of you by purchasing a phone AND and mp3 player. Also, they want to control what you listen to, and want you to pay them for the priviledge.

You cannot convert songs into ringtones. They just won't allow you to use a song as a ringtone unless you pay them for it and download it from a site through the phone.

It sucks.

Dang that does suck.. wish I knew what the extra service was that I was paying for long ago before I finally cancelled it.. couldve had like 25 ringtones already.. but then again, I can't read the Korean and my handler is technology illiterate so I wouldn't have been able to anyway >< Thanks for letting me know! Saves me from wasting more time trying lol.

anybody know if ANY of the phones are capable of playing mp3's as ringtones? or if any phones will let you convert mp3's into "their" formats so they can play as mp3's?
