Four years earlier and hundreds of dollars cheaper than I predicted. Mind to machine interface is hitting the home computer market.
Coupled with what looks to be a big breakthrough in sensory feedback we could see gaming and other areas go places in the next few years that I thought wouldn't see till I was an old man. Needless to say, I'm pretty pumped. (And keeping my fingers crossed that they keep pushing the development so it doesn't die like the first "VR" push) |

After VirtualBoy I can never have high hopes again.
Funny Video: http://youtube.com/watch?v=mRHGKGRlz-Q (NSFW - Strong Language)
If it's really that good EVERYONE is going to know about it in short order.
If there's no buzz, it probably sucks donkey balls like most VR devices.
EDIT: LOL since when is S-H-O-R-T a beep word |

Interesting. If it can be used for anything other than gaming that is. I love the way companies advertise such products to that market. Can I trigger samples/visual clips and adjust effects with such a device? I hope so. |

Supposedly you bind thoughts to keystrokes, so yes. You should be able to do basically anything on the computer with it that doesn't require a mouse. |
