I realize that this could also be posted in the travel section....and maybe I'm not searching properly...
Is there really a more sensible way to carry money around Korea (mainly Seoul, Busan) other than large rolled up wads of cash? I know there's a some type of metro/city pass something or another - just wanted to get some input . I'll be staying only for a month but plan on moving around quite a lot. I have a US capital one cc and i'm pretty sure it's not international but i do want to travel as light (and safe) as possible. suggestions? |

| I don't know about the USA, but I have never even heard of a non-international card until I came to Korea. |

one option is to bring a debit card with a visa logo from home. that's what i did when i came for 3 months -- the debit card didn't work at all the atm machines in seoul, but it worked at enough of them.
travellers checks are another option |
