Regardless if they are a pet or not, if they were not the person's perspective pet, would they be considered a natural part of the food chain?

Would that perspective animal, if seen on the street, be judged by how many meals you can make out of it?
If a Korean saw a duck walking in a park or along the Han River, would that duck be judged by how much soy sauce (or in my case, BBQ sauce) you can put on it?

After eating my first bowl of Boshintang a few years back, whenever a dog looked up at me, I would look them straight in the eye and they always had that scared expression on their face, like I would creep into their window at night and shanghai them to a Boshintang-jip for a midnight meal......I kidd you not.......even the vicious ones don't bark at me anymore.......

Its as if they know Shocked

I think dogs know. I eat dog. Here, central america, Philppines, other asian countries, and africa. Tastes the same everywhere. Delicious.
Really. I think they know, and they realize you're a top predator to them.

Which food chain? Dogs eat food, right? So, they are part of 'a' food chain, aren't they? Wink

What does "natural part of the food chain" mean? Humans don't do things "naturally." By our very nature, we change nature.

Why don't you just come out and ask what I assume you mean, "Is it morally permissible to eat any animal--and why?"

Dogs have always liked me and they still do.

They must know I want to be a friend.

It's the Korean cats who don't understand how much I love them.

I live in a rural part of this country and the nearby cows and chickens (they wander into a friend's courtyard) seem placid enough, stupid things don't realize they're dinner on my plate if I can help it.

VanIslander~ You bring up a good point.

In the city of West Haven, Connecticut, there used to be a huge population of cats roaming around the city all the way until 1989. That was the year that many chinese restaurants openned their doors in the city........suddenly, the number of cats decreased to almost 0 by 1998......somewhere along that line I might have eaten some poor schmuck's favorite pet (Joe *whats your name*, sorry if I did Embarassed)

Of course it is morally right to eat animal and I feel since we are (technically speaking) the most developed of all species of animals on earth, we have the god-given right to eat any and every animal that is put in front of us...........

For Bridget Bardot (not who she is now, but I am speaking to the sexy, sultry 1960's version of her.......god! I'd buy that version of her for a $1 [maybe not now because of exchange rates])......if it ain't burning the kitchen, leave it on the stove Wink

Agreed, unless its an endangered species. Anyone chomping on whale should be shot on sight.
