curious, what's everyone's favorite song to sing at noraebang?

I can't carry a note if my life depended on it. SERIOUSLY, i'm not just being modest. i saw a video of myself and i sound like a dying cat. it's painful to watch. any suggestions so i don't embarrass myself next time i "have to go" to a noraebang?

"with a little help from my friends" by the beatles is on the right track.

i can't do rap songs or else my korean friends get angry for being out of the loop, since the words are usually quite fast.

They have songs by Rage Against the Machine, Slipknot, Disturbed and other non-tone-carrying bands. Go for the violent scream.

Rap is good, but it's often harder than singing real music.

Yes, please, someone post song names.

I have to go on Wednesday to a teacher function and it's been indicated that a trip to a noraebang is in the offing.

I am the only person I know who has had the microphone taken away from them by a Korean for bad singing.

Everybody hurts - REM
Running down a dream - Tom Petty
Barracuda - Heart
A Horse With No Name - America (Simon and Garfunkel)
White Wedding - Billy Idol
Mamma Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys - Ed Bruce
I Ran - Flock of Seagulls
Video Killed the Radio Star - The Buggles

(All are fairly popular songs in general... Not sure if you'll find them in Korea but all of them are pretty easy on the vocal range...)

i've done rap, i'm decent at it...50 Cent "In Da Club" and Snow "Informer"...Dr. Dre "Nothin But a G Thang"....but like I said, my Korean friends hate it cause they can't follow along and they start to feel incomptent about their english.

Mariah Carey "All I Want For Christmas" is pretty fun to sing..everyone gets involved, so it drowns out my bad singing...

Jsut go to the noraebang by yourself after work one day, pay for an hour and try to sing all the songs you recognize. You'll know if its good enough to sing in front of others or not.

Even tone deaf Koreans sound decent because they've spent most of their life singing in noraebangs so they have no inhibitions about how bad their voice sounds.

I'll second Wonderwall by Oasis. Great song and almost like reading along. And it is a new song for the Koreans. They can already do all the Clapton songs better than us.
