Does anybody know the reason why Hillary Clinton is always referred to in the press here by her first name and Barack Obama by his last? Is it because they assume people will confuse her with Bill Clinton? Or, is it just demeaning?
I think the latter.  |

I think you answered it. I think we do the same thing in America. Doesn't it seem like you've heard "Hilary vs. Obama" more than "Clinton vs. Barack"?
I heard the Japanese use really weird names for American celebrities. Like Brad Pitt is "bureepu" or something like that. |
