I'm getting porcelain caps so I'll have a nice smile. My dentist quoted me 2,300,000 won a couple weeks ago. I went in a week ago and he grinded down my teeth. Now I'm wearing the plastic molded teeth on my upper line in the interim. Surgery to put the porcelain caps in will occur in about two weeks. My colleague called back today and was quoted 2,300,000 by using a bank card and 2,160,000 for handing over cash. What a great country -- I'll pay cash.

I'm going to forever cherish the act of bring such a large amount of cash to a dentist.

I am definately going to sort out my teeth before I go back to the UK. I am sure I will have to go to the dentist soon but I dislike it even though my mum is a dentist. Well atleast Korea is cheaper and quicker than the UK. I think I shall use some of my health insurance to help pay the costs. Smile

2.3M won? Are you insane or just naive?

A cap costs 230-270k won. You may be paying nearly 10X the price.

Shocked

I think the OP is talking about ALL of his or her teeth or maybe just the standard front sets that are public domain.

"I'm getting porcelain caps so ..."

Good call. You'll be the only one there with good teeth.

It'll be 4 porcelain crowns on the front upper line of teeth. They're nearly thousand USD apiece, normally.
