I've seen all three at Costcos in Seoul. Cherries were sold during season by street fruit peddlers in Seoul this year as well.

If you don't have a membership to Costco - I've seen celery at my local Homeplus. It isn't cheap, though.

I don't think I've been in a large grocery store that doesn't sell celery. You can get it at the local shijang where I live too.

Cherries in season only.

Asparagus I've seen it once or twice, max. Try the food centres in the basements of major dept stores like Hyundai or Lotte.

Cherries are a no go now.
Does anyone know where to buy Avocadoes (sorry to hijack the thread). I miss my Avacado and Chicken sandwhiches so much.

Wal-mart near Yeoksam Station has avocados for about 4,000 won each.

I too saw avocados in Wal-Mart last year. A bit pricey, but existant.

Back to my original question:

Cherries I guess are out of season. Fine. But celery? Come on! I need it! And asparagus? Fresh asparagus, not the tinned Libby's crap with no tips I can get in Itaewon.

An add-on:

Campbell's Alphabet Soup.

I repeat.
Celery is all the rage at Grandmart in Sinchon station.

And it's 'avocado', not 'avacado'.

So you did.

There are also avakadoes at Grandmart for 5000 won. Willing to pay that much?

Well those avocadoes were down to 1500 won yesterday. A bit too soft to buy, though.
I guess nobody's interested in buying a 5000won avocado.
