About the ARC...I know that you need 3 pictures for your card. Should I get them done before I leave for Korea? What are the sizes that you need? I've found different answers.

^i just brought over regular sized passport photos for my ARC. you can get them done here, but it'll probably be easier to just get them before you come

I'm glad I got mine before I came. In my small town public school, the very day they received my medical results they told me that I would go to get the ARC the next day. I would have had problems trying to get the photo that evening. And they only needed one, but it won't hurt to bring extras.

Bring 4 or 5 extras...there seems to be an unending need for photos of ESL teachers...

I got some done here but I had saved my file on a USB jumpdrive. I had to have my co-teacher take me to the photo studio but they were able to print out a bunch for 6000 won. Now I have an envelope full of tiny photos for the future. Definitely bring extras since you randomly need them for everything. 2 for medical check, ARC, future applications, etc.

The photo size for the alien registration application is 3x4 cm. That's different from the U.S. passport size, by the way.

although the arc application states a different size for the photo, the passport size one will be fine...i used the passport sized photo and so did about 5 other teachers i know around korea...no problems whatsoever...

same here, i used the passport size.

just walked in a kodak shop around where i live, they took my picture and the deal was like, 8 pictures for 8,000 won. i asked for passport size.

i'm glad i got extra pictures, i needed:

2 for medical exam
2 for ARC

and some extra ones for whatnot, there always seem to be a "new step" right when i think i'm done.
