I'm a US citizen and was exempt from Korean Income tax for my first two years in Korea. This year I'm going to pay income tax. I've just been informed that I must now also pay an "inhabitant tax."
Anyone heard of this tax? |

It is a small percentage (I can't remember for sure but I think it was 10%) of your income tax and is included in the same monthly deduction. It works out to about 3-6k won per month on a salary of 2.3 million. |
