Hey there everyone. Stop me if I'm repeating a previous post, or refer me to the correct link......
It seems to be generally accepted knowledge that if you run into problems with your boss, then what you do is file a complaint with the labor board.
A few posters have mentioned that companies don't actually have to abide by labor board rulings. Can anyone confirm or deny this? It also seems to be generally accepted knowledge that getting a lawyer for amounts less than 50,000 is not really worth it because of high legal fees.
so, if the labor board doesn't help you, or your boss STILL doesn't co-operate after the labor board rules in your favor, what's the next logical step?
I've been warned that even if the labor board rules in my favor, I should not leave the country until the money is actually in my account, because 'they can't enforce it' after I leave. Is this for real? |
